Chamber Music Day
Following the success of our inaugural Chamber Music Day, we will be hosting a repeat occasion on 26th May at Plumcroft Primary School (Vincent Road campus). This is an opportunity to discover new chamber music repertoire, rehearse in small groups, improve technique and learn from members of the Tailleferre Ensemble who will be coaching the day.
We will provide coaching sessions, rehearsals and the opportunity to perform informally, as well as tea and cake! For tickets please visit our store page.
Tailleferre Ensemble at St Matthew's Westminster
The programme will feature a repeat of Ingrid Stölzel’s new arrangent of Wider Than the Sky alongside other works for two oboes and bassoon, performed by the Tailleferre Ensemble as part of the Westminster Chamber Music Society.

Tailleferre Ensemble at St John's ARC
The Tailleferre Ensemble will perform the world première of Ingrid Stölzel’s Wider Than The Sky arranged for two oboes and bassoon, specially dedicated to the ensemble. The Genius of Bruckner
Members of the Tailleferre Ensemble will join Bury Bach Choir and Ibex Brass for a chamber performance of Bruckner’s Mass no.2 in E Minor. The performance of the Mass will be interspersed with a selection of Bruckner’s motets.
The Ensemble will also perform 3 Lyrical Pieces for two oboes and bassoon by Bill Douglas from their debut album.

Chamber Music Day
On February 18th 2024 we are hosting our inaugural Chamber Music Day. This is open to musicians of Grade 6 ABRSM level or above, and will be a chance to rehearse and workshop wind chamber music for quintet or trio under the guidance of our musicians. There will be a particular focus on wind chamber music by women, including Amy Beach and Cecilia McDowall. The precise pieces and instrumentation will depend on participants on the day, but music will be decided and sent out with plenty of time to practise.

Candlelit Concert for the Friends of St. Anne's, Kew
The Tailleferre Ensemble will perform an evening candlelit concert for the Friends of St. Anne’s, Kew at 71 Kew Green, London. The programme will be based on an 18th-Century theme, in keeping with the décor of the beautiful, intimate concert space. Featured in the programme will works by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, as well as Goepfart, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Maddalena Laura Sirmen, Cecilia McDowall and Sally Wave.

Charity Christmas Concert in aid of Refuge
On 8th December the Tailleferre Ensemble are hosting a Christmas fundraising concert in aid of the charity Refuge, who work to support women and children experiencing domestic violence https://refuge.org.uk.
On the programme is a varied collection of chamber works by female composers, including three pieces by our namesake Germaine Tailleferre, Errollyn Wallen, Alyssa Morris, Juliana Hall, Rhian Samuel and Jenni Brandon, plus our own take on some Christmas favourites!
The concert will take place in St. John’s Church Notting Hill, 7:00pm doors open for a 7:30pm start. Tickets are £25, £15 concessions, with all profits going to Refuge. Tickets can be bought in advance through our store, or get in touch on our contact page to reserve tickets in advance.
Recital for Leatherhead Concert and Arts Society
The Tailleferre Ensemble will present a lunchtime concert celebrating their album release earlier this year. The programme will feature two works from the album, by Tailleferre and Röntgen, as well as music by Rhian Samuel, Dana Joras and Errollyn Wallen.
Premiere Performance of new trio by Sally Wave
On 23rd September Tailleferre Ensemble will perform the world premiere of a new trio for flute, cor anglais and bassoon by composer Sally Wave. This trio is dedicated to oboist Nicola Hands and bassoonist Amy Thompson, both of Tailleferre Ensemble. The trio will feature as part of a concert alongside trio Aquamarine, playing works by Wave, Ibert, Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel and Mel Bonis.
It will take place at St. John the Baptist Church, Wimbledon, SW19 4NZ.
Nottingham Chamber Festival at St Peter’s Church, Nottingham
The Tailleferre Ensemble return to Nottingham to perform as part of the chamber music festival. They will present a variety of works by composers such as Ethel Smyth, Rhian Samuel and Ingrid Stölzel. https://nottchamberfest.com/
